Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Christies in London held the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Une Maison by Mahmoud Saïd. It changed hands for a price of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 50,746.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahmoud Saïd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Whirling Dervishes in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 2,546,500.00 (€ 1,832,805.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Une Maison von Mahmoud Saïd zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 50.746,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Saïd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Whirling Dervishes im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.546.500,00 (€ 1.832.805,53).
