Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Eid Al Adha by Mahmoud Saïd was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in October 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,397.13). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahmoud Saïd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Whirling Dervishes in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 2,546,500.00 (€ 1,832,805.53).
