Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Untitled #5" by Magnus Gustafsson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 50,000.00 (€ 4,420.29). Other works by Magnus Gustafsson have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2020 by the work without title at SEK 70,000.00 (€ 6,693.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Untitled #5" von Magnus Gustafsson im April diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 50.000,00 (€ 4.420,29) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Magnus Gustafsson wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2020 die Arbeit ohne Titel mit SEK 70.000,00 (€ 6.693,97).
