In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art – Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Tsuyoshi Maekawa. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 375,000.00 (€ 41,273.18), 70% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Tsuyoshi Maekawa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Work in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,720,000.00 (€ 320,087.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tsuyoshi Maekawa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 41.273,18) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tsuyoshi Maekawa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Work im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.720.000,00 (€ 320.087,58).
