Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Brushwork II – All The World’s a Stage, which included the work Untitled (A41) by Tsuyoshi Maekawa. It changed hands for a price of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 32,459.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tsuyoshi Maekawa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Work in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,720,000.00 (€ 320,087.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Brushwork II – All The World’s a Stage durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (A41) von Tsuyoshi Maekawa zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 32.459,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tsuyoshi Maekawa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Work im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.720.000,00 (€ 320.087,58).
