Sold at the upper estimate price
In December 2021 Christies held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center, which included the work Rainy Landscape by Ma Tai. The auction ended at the price of HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,964.48), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 26,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Tai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Deer in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 740,000.00 (€ 72,103.71).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online including the Collection of Sun Ah Book Center durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rainy Landscape von Ma Tai zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.964,48) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 26.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Tai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Deer im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 740.000,00 (€ 72.103,71).
