A top price for Ma Tai
The work Deer by Ma Tai was worth HKD 740,000.00 (€ 72,103.71) to a buyer in April 2012. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Deer the most expensive artwork by Ma Tai that we have observed at auctions so far.
