Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Scholar Returning Home by Ma Tai. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,682.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ma Tai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Deer in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 740,000.00 (€ 72,103.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scholar Returning Home von Ma Tai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.682,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Tai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Deer im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 740.000,00 (€ 72.103,71).
