The work Flowers Bring Longevity by Ma Quan was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2015. It achieved a price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,876.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Quan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flower, Bird and Insect, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).

Die Arbeit Flowers Bring Longevity von Ma Quan wurde im September 2015 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.876,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Quan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flower, Bird and Insect beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92) versteigert wurde.
