Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flower And Insects by Ma Quan was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,753.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ma Quan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flower, Bird and Insect in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flower And Insects von Ma Quan wurde im März 2013 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.753,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Quan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flower, Bird and Insect im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92).
