Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Insects by Ma Quan. The price achieved of HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,251.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Quan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flower, Bird and Insect in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Insects von Ma Quan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.251,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Quan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flower, Bird and Insect im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92).
