Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Painting No. 10 by Ma Liuming was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The result of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,744.74) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Liuming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Baby No. 7 in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 90,399.75).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Painting No. 10 von Ma Liuming wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.744,74) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Liuming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Baby No. 7 im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 90.399,75).
