The work FEN-MALIUMING II; & III by Ma Liuming was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. It achieved a price of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,447.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Admittedly, works by Ma Liuming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baby No. 7 in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 90,399.75).

Die Arbeit FEN-MALIUMING II; & III von Ma Liuming wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.447,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Liuming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baby No. 7 im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 90.399,75).
