Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Property From an Important European Collection, which included the work No. 23 by Ma Liuming. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,284.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ma Liuming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baby No. 7 in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 90,399.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Property From an Important European Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit No. 23 von Ma Liuming zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.284,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Liuming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baby No. 7 im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 90.399,75).
