Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Phillips in London held the auction BRIC, which included the work Fen-Ma Liuming's Lunch I by Ma Liuming. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,815.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Liuming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Baby No. 7 in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 90,399.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Phillips in London die Auktion BRIC durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fen-Ma Liuming's Lunch I von Ma Liuming zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.815,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Liuming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Baby No. 7 im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 90.399,75).
