Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fen-Ma Liuming Walks The Great Wall by Ma Liuming was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. It changed hands for a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,397.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ma Liuming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baby No. 7 in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 90,399.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fen-Ma Liuming Walks The Great Wall von Ma Liuming kam im April 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.397,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Liuming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baby No. 7 im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 90.399,75).
