Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ma Gongyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October 2021. In the Takahashi Kouhou Collection auction, the work Six-Character Couplet In Running Script sold for HKD 36,000.00 (€ 4,004.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ma Gongyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,267.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ma Gongyu erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Takahashi Kouhou Collection wurde die Arbeit Six-Character Couplet In Running Script für HKD 36.000,00 (€ 4.004,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Gongyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.267,00).
