The work Calligraphy Couplet In Shiguwen by Ma Gongyu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. It achieved a price of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,682.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Gongyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,267.00).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Shiguwen von Ma Gongyu wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.682,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Gongyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.267,00) versteigert wurde.
