Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Ma Gongyu was sold in the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2017. The price achieved of HKD 8,260.00 (€ 943.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Gongyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,267.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Ma Gongyu wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 8.260,00 (€ 943,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Gongyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.267,00).
