Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Ma Gongyu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,088.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ma Gongyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,267.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Ma Gongyu wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.088,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Gongyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.267,00).
