Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lynn Davis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in June 2020. In the Photographs auction, the work Iceberg #29, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 sold for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,163.74) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lynn Davis; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of USD 36,250.00 (€ 32,496.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lynn Davis erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Iceberg #29, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.163,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lynn Davis; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 im Oktober 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 36.250,00 (€ 32.496,64).
