Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June last year. In the British Art: The Jubilee Auction auction, the work Nearer than Kith, Further from Kind sold for GBP 1,220,800.00 (€ 1,418,222.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Highpower sold at auction in October last year with the realized price of GBP 1,482,000.00 (€ 1,726,513.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British Art: The Jubilee Auction wurde die Arbeit Nearer than Kith, Further from Kind für GBP 1.220.800,00 (€ 1.418.222,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Highpower im Oktober letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 1.482.000,00 (€ 1.726.513,59).
