Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction The Now Evening Auction, which included the work 11pm Sunday by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,744,000.00 (€ 1,625,198.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Other works by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October last year the work Highpower was auctioned for GBP 1,482,000.00 (€ 1,726,513.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Now Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit 11pm Sunday von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.744.000,00 (€ 1.625.198,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres die Arbeit Highpower für GBP 1.482.000,00 (€ 1.726.513,59) versteigert.
