Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Man Carrying a Monkey by Luo Qing was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2010. The result of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,940.17) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luo Qing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Falling Leaf, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 211,500.00 (€ 17,412.05).
