Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints, which included the work Untitled, 2002 by Luis Gispert. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,206.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luis Gispert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "DC-3" in November 2015 with an auction result of SEK 200,000.00 (€ 21,700.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, 2002 von Luis Gispert zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.206,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis Gispert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "DC-3" im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 200.000,00 (€ 21.700,44).
