Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints, which included the work Still from Smother (BMX), 2006 by Luis Gispert. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,529.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luis Gispert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "DC-3" in November 2015 with an auction result of SEK 200,000.00 (€ 21,700.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still from Smother (BMX), 2006 von Luis Gispert zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.529,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis Gispert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "DC-3" im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 200.000,00 (€ 21.700,44).
