Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation, which included the work Still Life With Blue Bottle by Luigi Lucioni. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,411.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luigi Lucioni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Checkered Tablecloth in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 132,473.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Blue Bottle von Luigi Lucioni zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.411,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luigi Lucioni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Checkered Tablecloth im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 132.473,73).
