Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Piede by Luciano Fabro was sold in the Eyes Wide Open: An Italian Vision auction at Christies in London in February 2014. The price achieved of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,167,744.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Luciano Fabro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Italia dell’emigrante (Italy of the Emigrant), which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 2,714,500.00 (€ 3,796,907.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Piede von Luciano Fabro wurde im Februar 2014 in der Auktion Eyes Wide Open: An Italian Vision bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.167.744,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Luciano Fabro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Italia dell’emigrante (Italy of the Emigrant) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 2.714.500,00 (€ 3.796.907,49) versteigert wurde.
