The »bidding war« ended at GBP 277,250.00 (€ 320,864.15), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luciano Fabro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Italia dell’emigrante (Italy of the Emigrant) in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,714,500.00 (€ 3,796,907.49).

Die Arbeit Corona D'Alloro - Facsimile (Corona Di Piombo) von Luciano Fabro wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion 20th Century Italian Art Including Italian Identity - an Important Private Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 277.250,00 (€ 320.864,15) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luciano Fabro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Italia dell’emigrante (Italy of the Emigrant) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.714.500,00 (€ 3.796.907,49).
