In the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work Portrait Of A Woman sold for USD 362,500.00 (€ 277,713.94) - well above the upper estimate of USD 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lucas Cranach II have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a green velvet and orange dress and a pearl-embroidered black hat in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,812,000.00 (€ 2,691,238.28).
