Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christ As Man Of Sorrows Together With The Virgin And Saint John by Lucas Cranach II was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2011. The price achieved of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 63,407.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucas Cranach II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a green velvet and orange dress and a pearl-embroidered black hat in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,812,000.00 (€ 2,691,238.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Christ As Man Of Sorrows Together With The Virgin And Saint John von Lucas Cranach II kam im Juli 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion.
