Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work The Mystic Marriage Of Saint Catherine, In The Company Of The Saintly Virgins: Barbara, Margaret And Dorothea by Lucas Cranach I. The price achieved of GBP 466,000.00 (€ 519,165.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucas Cranach I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bocca Della Verità (The Mouth Of Truth) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 9,333,000.00 (€ 13,231,059.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Mystic Marriage Of Saint Catherine, In The Company Of The Saintly Virgins: Barbara, Margaret And Dorothea von Lucas Cranach I zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 466.000,00 (€ 519.165,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucas Cranach I erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bocca Della Verità (The Mouth Of Truth) im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.333.000,00 (€ 13.231.059,30).
