Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait Of A Lady, Three-Quarter-Length by Lucas Cranach I was auctioned at Christies in New York in January this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 900,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 945,000.00 (€ 870,326.03). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucas Cranach I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bocca Della Verità (The Mouth Of Truth) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 9,333,000.00 (€ 13,231,059.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Three-Quarter-Length von Lucas Cranach I kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 900.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 945.000,00 (€ 870.326,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucas Cranach I erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bocca Della Verità (The Mouth Of Truth) im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.333.000,00 (€ 13.231.059,30).
