This artwork by Lucas Cranach I achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2019. In the Old Master Prints auction, the work The Crucifixion, from: The Passion sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,004.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucas Cranach I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bocca Della Verità (The Mouth Of Truth) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 9,333,000.00 (€ 13,231,059.30).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lucas Cranach I erzielte im Januar 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Prints wurde die Arbeit The Crucifixion, from: The Passion für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.004,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucas Cranach I erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bocca Della Verità (The Mouth Of Truth) im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.333.000,00 (€ 13.231.059,30).
