Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait Of A Man With A Spotted Fur Collar by Lucas Cranach I was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,410,000.00 (€ 2,702,139.93), 21% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lucas Cranach I have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bocca Della Verità (The Mouth Of Truth) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 9,333,000.00 (€ 13,231,059.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man With A Spotted Fur Collar von Lucas Cranach I wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.410.000,00 (€ 2.702.139,93) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucas Cranach I auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bocca Della Verità (The Mouth Of Truth) im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.333.000,00 (€ 13.231.059,30).
