Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Lantern by Luc Tuymans. The price achieved of GBP 226,800.00 (€ 264,219.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luc Tuymans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mrs. in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,482,500.00 (€ 1,899,640.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lantern von Luc Tuymans zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 226.800,00 (€ 264.219,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luc Tuymans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mrs. im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.482.500,00 (€ 1.899.640,69).
