This artwork by Lu Hui achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Vine 21-03 sold for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,678.48) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lu Hui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure Paintings After Old Masters in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 166,844.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Hui erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Vine 21-03 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.678,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lu Hui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure Paintings After Old Masters im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 166.844,63).
