In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Spring Snow on Reed Field by Lu Hui. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 88,200.00 (€ 10,471.23), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lu Hui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure Paintings After Old Masters in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 166,844.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spring Snow on Reed Field von Lu Hui zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 88.200,00 (€ 10.471,23) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lu Hui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure Paintings After Old Masters im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 166.844,63).
