Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flowers by Lu Hui was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in New York in August this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 20,160.00 (€ 2,371.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lu Hui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure Paintings After Old Masters in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 166,844.63).
