Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in Cologne held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Hsinchu 20-01 by Lu Hui. It changed hands for a price of HKD 69,300.00 (€ 8,306.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lu Hui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure Paintings After Old Masters in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 166,844.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Köln die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hsinchu 20-01 von Lu Hui zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 69.300,00 (€ 8.306,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lu Hui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure Paintings After Old Masters im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 166.844,63).
