Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Landscape by Lu Hui was worth HKD 42,000.00 (€ 42,890.22) to a buyer in April this year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Hui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure Paintings After Old Masters, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 187,500.00 (€ 166,844.63).

Die Arbeit Landscape von Lu Hui war einem Käufer im April diesen Jahres HKD 42.000,00 (€ 42.890,22) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Lu Hui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure Paintings After Old Masters beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 187.500,00 (€ 166.844,63) versteigert wurde.
