Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dans Le Metro by Louis Toffoli was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2014. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,582.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Toffoli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Bucherons, 1959, which sold at auction in June 2007 for EUR 17,349.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dans Le Metro von Louis Toffoli kam im Februar 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.582,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Toffoli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Bucherons, 1959 beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für EUR 17.349,00 versteigert wurde.
