In November 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Kinderen op het strand: children playing on the beach by Louis Soonius. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,125.00 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Soonius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures At The Beach Near Scheveningen, The Kurhaus In The Distance, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 27,850.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im November 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kinderen op het strand: children playing on the beach von Louis Soonius zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.125,00 und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Soonius mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures At The Beach Near Scheveningen, The Kurhaus In The Distance beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 27.850,00 versteigert wurde.
