The work Children playing on the beach by Louis Soonius was sold in the 19th Century & Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2017. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 7,500.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Soonius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures At The Beach Near Scheveningen, The Kurhaus In The Distance, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 27,850.00.

Die Arbeit Children playing on the beach von Louis Soonius wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century & Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 7.500,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Soonius mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures At The Beach Near Scheveningen, The Kurhaus In The Distance beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 27.850,00 versteigert wurde.
