In the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. auction, the work Strandezeltjes te Scheveningen: donkeys on the beach sold for EUR 10,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Soonius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures At The Beach Near Scheveningen, The Kurhaus In The Distance, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 27,850.00.
