Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Louis Ritman could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Woman In White Gown changed hands for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,368.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Ritman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Garden in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 542,500.00 (€ 403,255.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Ritman konnte im März 2009 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Woman In White Gown für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.368,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Ritman erzielen.
