In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Summer Day by Louis Ritman. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Ritman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Garden in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 542,500.00 (€ 403,255.78).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer Day von Louis Ritman zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Ritman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Garden im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 542.500,00 (€ 403.255,78).
