Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Piano Lesson by Louis Ritman was sold in the American Art Online auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,400.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Ritman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Garden in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 542,500.00 (€ 403,255.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Piano Lesson von Louis Ritman wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion American Art Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.400,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Ritman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Garden im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 542.500,00 (€ 403.255,78).
