This work of art by Louis Ritman could be acquired at Christies in New York in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Going to the Market changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,612.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Ritman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Garden in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 542,500.00 (€ 403,255.78).
