Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & MultiplesFeaturing the Arthur N. Gilbert Collection, which included the work Above The City by Louis Lozowick. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of USD 535.50 (€ 451.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Lozowick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pittsburgh in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 386,500.00 (€ 304,474.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & MultiplesFeaturing the Arthur N. Gilbert Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Above The City von Louis Lozowick zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 535,50 (€ 451,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Lozowick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pittsburgh im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 386.500,00 (€ 304.474,55).
